In June of 2004 my husband and I traveled to Ava, Missouri from southern California with the intent of purchasing either land or a house. Where do you start in a town that you know no one, where to you go to find an honest, trustworthy person? We stopped at a local real estate office and that is how we started our Missouri adventure. We were very lucky to have met Debra Walker.

We shared with Debra what we were looking for and she was very helpful and more than willing to work with us. We were shown many different homes and also land. As the lists of homes became smaller and our time in Missouri was running out, we had not found our dream home. Ken planned to fly back and take the next steps. We chose to let the house in Missouri go back on the market and search again once our house in California sold.

Once again, we were looking for a Missouri home, but still living in California. Our search was via the internet and the good old phone system. Once our California house was sold, we flew to Missouri and met with Debra and again, she was eager and ready to show us property. We found what we were looking for and we were so pleased to now be ready to move to Missouri. Debra walked us through all the paperwork, helped us become familiar with the quaint small town of Ava, Missouri. Within two weeks we were moving into our wonderful new home.
